For over 100 years, New England, and more specifically the Boston area, were epicenters of manufacturing. Factories hummed turning out cars, shoes, textiles and furniture. This connection to our manufacturing past and future inspired us to release a new year-round beer, Shipping Out of Boston.
Shipping Out of Boston is a malty, slightly sweet, and lightly hoppy beer that pays homage to the past while building a bolder future. Boston is actually home to one of the first factories in America – The Boston Manufacturing Company. We have a rich history of creating goods in this state that slowly declined with globalization, and is now seeing a robust resurgence.
At the center of any brewery is a factory and Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers is no different. We put meticulous care into our work and transform raw ingredients into incredible beers every day, and we do it in the structure that was once home to one of the state’s great manufacturing facilities – Dennison Manufacturing Company. Dennison was at the forefront of manufacturing in Massachusetts from the mid-19th century through the late 20th century, producing those ubiquitous labels that organized America.
We honor the history of our building and our region with this beer, all while looking ahead to the manufacturing future of New England. Shipping Out of Boston is available now across the Northeast in 16-ounce cans and 12-packs!
