Jack’s Abby Brewing is seeking a Kitchen Manager for the kitchen in our Framingham Beer Hall! Please apply with a resume and cover letter.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of all back of house staff in a high volume kitchen, including ongoing training and development of staff
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively across multiple departments
  • Budget labor, food costs, and other cost centers through proper planning and execution
  • Assist in overseeing weekly and monthly inventories, and ordering of food and supplies
  • Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of the work area adhering to all health/safety regulations.
  • Create and Manage schedule for Back of House team
  • Work collaboratively with the Private Events Manager to successfully execute private events
  • Help in the creative process of dishes and menu changes and specials including recipe documentation and updates
  • Maintain menu-related research and development
  • Help maintain prep and ordering list

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of Culinary Management experience 
  • ServSafe Certification:Food Manager & Allergen, required
  • Strong knowledge and attention to detail on the back of house operations including: staff supervision, inventory controls and food/labor cost, and product quality
  • Strong communication, management, and conflict resolution skills
  • Graduate of an accredited culinary program is a plus
  • Availability to work Wednesday-Sunday, weekend availability is required. Schedule will rotate between opening, midday, & closing shifts with the hospitality management team.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish and/or English/Portuguese is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move (lift, push, or pull) at least 50lbs multiple times per day
  • Ability to stand, work, and move around the floor for extended periods of time

Description/Expectations: This position is a hybrid position supporting the Hospitality/Kitchen Department’s business model during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Tasks and responsibilities may vary depending on the day; however, the scope of this position will be focused on supporting the front of house in daily operations during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Maintain great customer service under the Beer Hall/Garden’s operation model under the COVID-19 Pandemic; answer and assist customers when they have questions.
    • Assist customers who may need special assistance with orders.
  • Cleanliness
    • Assist with general Beer Hall/Garden & Kitchen organization and cleanliness.
    • Help maintain a clean & sanitary work environment, especially in high contact areas.
  • Health/Safety in Front of House Operations the COVID-19 Pandemic 
    • Maintain CDC recommended social distancing guidelines.
    • Follow regular local and state health codes and any updates to these codes during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
    • Wear Personal Protective Gear while working (gloves, face masks, etc.).
    • Follow the company’s employee illness policy dated November 19, 2019.
  • General Front of House Operations
    • Be able to perform other tasks related to Front of House operation as assigned by the Hospitality Management team.
    • Follow inventory procedures for keeping front of house appropriately stocked.
    • Closely follow opening and closing procedures for the Beer Hall/Garden.
    • Moving tables inside/outside to prepare Beer Garden for guests and updating/”flipping” spaces as assigned for Beer Garden/Hall Guests.

 

Job Requirements

  • 1+ years working in an Front of house service role or customer service focused role
  • Knowledge Toast and Grub Hub as a cashier/receiving or placing customer orders
  • Comfortable taking on tasks as assigned by the hospitality management team to ensure daily Front of House/kitchen operations
  • Be on time for scheduled shifts
  • Stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms

Description/Expectations: The Temporary Packaging Team Associate is a temporary position that will work directly with a team of Line Operators and Packaging Team Associates to successfully complete each day’s production requirements and reports directly to the Packaging Manager.  The ideal candidate will possess the ability to follow detailed instructions, move up to 75 lbs, work on your feet for 10+ hours, safely handle chemical and sanitation products, operate powered industrial vehicles, perform general maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties. The nature of this position is temporary and the time commitment for the position will be based on candidate availability and Brewery Production Goals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow detailed instructions
  • Move up to 75 lbs
  • Work on your feet for 8+ hours per day
  • Safely handle chemical and sanitation products
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning
  • Other miscellaneous duties as needed or assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • Warehouse or Manufacturing experience preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a positive attitude
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Available to work long and/or flexible hours
  • Forklift certification and/or experience is a plus
  • Work well under pressure and at a fast pace
  • Work independently and within a team with minimal supervision
  • Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
