This week we finally received our brewhouse, the last piece of equipment we were waiting on. The brewhouse consists primarily of the Mash Tun and Kettle, along with a few other components. This is where the beer will be made before being put into tanks to ferment. Some work still needs to be done with the installation, but it will be ready soon.
At the same time there is still the matter of finalizing all of our permits and licenses. As per the long tradition of bureaucracy, these things take time. The way things stand right now, it is looking like it will be two more weeks before we get the green light from the Government to start brewing. We are hoping that things will come through faster but there is not much that we can do other than wait.
Due to this delay we have decided to hold off on Leisure Time Lager, our summer seasonal, that we had blogged about before. We would not be able to finish it before the summer was mostly over. Instead we will focus on our three main beers. And, by the time they are out we will be thinking about our fall seasonal.
We were hoping to tell you this week that we had started brewing. While that is not the case, things are moving forwards. We now have all our equipment on sight and will be ready to brew the moment we get the final OK.
